He pursued banana cultivation as hobby for more than 40 years, investing $50m of his own funds. Since his discovery of the “Freeze-Thaw Awakening Method" after years of trial and error, more than 230 types of tropical fruits, grains, and spices have been successfully cultivated on land that is was formerly believed physically impossible to cultivate.

Our signature product, the “Monge-Banana", is a domestic and completely pesticide-free banana first cultivated in Okayama city.
